Don’t wait for the world to be kind to you first. Pay it forward. Love your neighbor as yourself. Give your best no other reason than that it honors God. And let the Lord, who sees everything, reward you richly for all you have given in secret.
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves waiting for kindness to be returned to us before we show it to others. However, the true essence of love and kindness lies in giving selflessly, without the expectation of receiving anything in return. When we love our neighbors as ourselves, we mirror the love that God has for us. This act of love honors Him and enriches our own spirits. God sees our efforts, even the small, quiet acts of kindness we do in secret. Trust that He will reward you in ways that may surprise you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the love You show us each day. Help us to be instruments of Your kindness and compassion. Teach us to love our neighbors and give freely, without expecting anything in return. May our actions reflect Your glory and honor You in all we do. As we serve others, remind us that You see our hearts and our intentions. We trust in Your promises of reward for every act of kindness done in secret. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
