Message:
More of Christ, less of me. This simple phrase encapsulates the essence of Christian discipleship. It serves as a powerful reminder that our lives are meant to reflect Christ and not our own ambitions, desires, or ego. When we seek to embody more of Him, we naturally diminish our self-centered tendencies and allow His light to shine through us. This process calls us to examine our motives, surrender our will, and embrace humility.
In a world that often prioritizes individual achievement and recognition, this message challenges us to look beyond ourselves. In John 3:30, John the Baptist famously declared, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” This statement resonates deeply with the Christian walk. As we engage with our daily lives, whether in work, family, or community, we are invited to ask ourselves how we can uplift Christ’s message rather than our own agendas.

Heavenly Father, as I come before You today, I seek to embrace the truth of Your word that calls me to desire more of Christ and less of myself. I understand that it is easy to slip into a mindset that prioritizes my own desires, ambitions, and recognition. However, I earnestly long to reflect Your love and grace in every aspect of my life. I pray that You help me to recognize and release every ounce of pride and self-interest that hinders my relationship with You and with others.
Lord, teach me the art of humility. Teach me to value others above myself, to listen more than I speak, and to serve more than I am served. May my heart resonate with the desire to see Your kingdom come on this earth. Empower me to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around me — not as a reflection of my own righteousness but as a testament to Your unending grace and mercy.
I ask that You fill my heart with Your spirit so that I might desire to decrease, allowing You to increase in my life. May the fruits of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control — be evident in my actions and interactions. Let me be a vessel of Your peace in a chaotic world, radiating Your joy amidst sorrow, and sharing Your hope where despair reigns.
In all my endeavors, may I lift You higher, reducing the focus on myself and shining a light on Christ. I surrender my will and my ways to You, trusting that Your plans are greater than my own.
