When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This passage reminds us of the joy that comes with recognizing the divine presence in our lives. The Magi’s journey symbolizes the pursuit of truth and the ecstatic joy that follows when one finds what they have been searching for. It invites us to reflect on our own journeys of faith and the moments when we have encountered something truly divine.

Help us to recognize the signs you place in our lives, leading us closer to you.
As they offered gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, may we also find ways to offer you our treasures. Teach us to serve you with our resources, sharing our blessings with those in need. Let our worship be genuine, not just in words but in actions that reflect your love.
