when we think of worship, many of us immediately picture a scene: the worship band playing music, a church singing with hearts on fire, hands raised, wholeheartedly praising the Lord.
–
that image isn’t wrong, but there’s more to worship than a weekly or biweekly worship sesh.
–
worship is a state of our hearts, a daily choice to praise our Savior & be in awe of Him, no matter our circumstances.
–
here’s some tangible/practical ways to implement more worship into your life:
– listen to worship music in the car, while you clean or work, read your Bible, or any other daily activity!
– spend some time outside, maybe with some family or friends, and hike or adventure in His creation! praise Him for His creativity & art!
– worship through creating art! Whether that be bible journaling, digital or any other medium! we all have gifts, we can use them to worship & bring glory to our Creator!
– turn on some worship music & dance!
– worship together as the body of Christ at church or youth group, but also worship alone during highs & lows. in the shower. on a walk. as you fall asleep. there’s no bad time to worship.
– spend time in prayer & praise God for His goodness!
–
Why do we worship?
–
our God is GOOD. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die a painful death on the cross in atonement for our sins so we don’t have to be separated from God eternally. We have & will always fall short, but through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are made sons & daughters of the One, True King! And that’s something I never want to grow numb to. that sacrificial love, He gave himself up to die painfully, knowing full well not everyone will choose Him back. wow.
–
we serve such a good God. He is good & deserves our praise whether the music is playing or not, whether life’s going good or not. He is always worthy of our worship.
