In our fast-paced world, waiting can feel like a burden. However, the testimonies of biblical figures remind us that waiting is often part of God’s divine plan. Joseph waited 13 years in Egypt before becoming second in command. Abraham, the father of many nations, waited 25 years for the promise of a son. Moses spent 40 years preparing in the wilderness before leading his people to freedom. Jesus Himself waited 30 years before beginning His ministry.
These stories are a powerful reminder that if God is making you wait, you are in good company. Patience and perseverance can lead to profound blessings and fulfillment according to God’s perfect timing. Trust in His plan for your life, realizing that the waiting period is not wasted time but a time of growth and preparation.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the examples of faith found in Your Word. Help us to find peace and strength in our waiting periods, knowing that You are working all things together for our good. Teach us to trust in Your timing and to grow in our faith as we wait. May we be reminded that we are not alone in our waiting, and that You are with us every step of the way. Fill our hearts with hope and assurance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
