Nothing is more beautiful than to see a little girl who sees Jesus in need of help and says, “Oh no, Jesus needs help,” and then tries to take up the cross. This moment captures the pure innocence and compassion of a child. It reminds us of our call as followers of Christ—to care for one another, to be moved by empathy, and to help bear the burdens of those around us. As adults, let us strive to retain that childlike spirit, embracing love and kindness in our daily lives.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the innocence and purity of children. Help us to mirror their compassion and willingness to help. May we see the needs of others with clarity and respond with loving hearts and open hands. Guide us to bear one another’s burdens, just as Your Son bore the cross for us. Fill us with Your Spirit, nurturing within us the qualities of love, kindness, and selflessness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
