As we reflect on this image of Jesus standing at the door, we are reminded of Revelation 3:20 (NIV): “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” This powerful invitation speaks to the desire of Christ to be in fellowship with us. No matter the darkness or challenges we face, Jesus is always present, waiting for us to invite Him into our lives. Let us be encouraged to open our hearts and minds to His presence, allowing Him to guide us in our daily lives.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, who stands at the door of our hearts, waiting patiently for us to invite Him in. Help us to recognize His presence in our lives, especially during difficult times. May we always be willing to open the door and welcome Him into every aspect of our existence. Fill us with Your peace and joy as we walk with You. Amen.
