In our human perspective, we often measure sin differently, as illustrated in the image. We tend to see sin as hierarchical, believing that some individuals’ sins are worse than others. We might think of ourselves as more righteousâperhaps looking over at others and judging their actions to be more grievous. Yet, God’s view is profoundly different. From His perspective, all sins are equal, as if viewed from above. Just as skyscrapers appear similar in height when seen from the sky, every sinâbig or smallâholds the same weight before the Lord. This understanding reminds us of our shared humanity and the need for grace.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your infinite wisdom and grace. Help us to see ourselves and others through Your eyes, recognizing that we are all in need of Your mercy. Teach us to extend compassion rather than judgment, remembering that all sin is equal before You. Lord, may we find solace in Your forgiveness and be willing to forgive others as You have forgiven us. Grant us a heart that loves unconditionally and a spirit that seeks unity instead of division. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
