DID YOU KNOW? U.S. Olympian Alysa Liu’s story is a quintessential American story of freedom! Her father, Arthur Liu, was targeted by the Communist Regime of China, branded as “Most Wanted” for organizing freedom protests during the 1989 Tiananmen Square demonstrations.
After China cracked down and murdered thousands of protesters, Liu miraculously escaped to Hong Kong before eventually fleeing to safety in America, where Alysa was born in 2005.
Arthur’s daughter went on to become one of the world’s top figure skaters and refused to skate for the CCP when they tried to recruit her for the Beijing Olympics of 2022. The FBI then warned Liu that communist spies were after the Liu family, stalking them and attempting to intimidate them.
This week, a child of freedom won the gold medal at the Olympics in Italy, thanks in part to her father’s courageous quest.
