Grammy-winning worship leader Chris Tomlin publicly invited “American Idol” winner Hannah Harper to sing his song “At the Cross (Love Ran Red)” with him after her emotional performance during the season finale. Harper, overcome with tears after winning the competition, worshipped on stage while singing the powerful lyrics, “At the cross, at the cross, I surrender my life.”
After watching the performance, Tomlin shared a message online congratulating Harper and saying, “I love hearing you sing At The Cross!!! Let’s sing it together sometime!” Harper has openly shared her Christian faith throughout the competition, often speaking about how God carried her through postpartum depression and difficult seasons in life.
