In our fast-paced and often overwhelming lives, we find ourselves caught in various distractions and priorities that pull us away from reflecting on God’s presence. Whether it’s the innocence of youth, the energy of independence, the busyness of work, or the fatigue of daily life, there are countless reasons we can think of to avoid pondering our relationship with God. Yet, Colossians 3:2 reminds us: “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
This verse encourages us to focus on God amidst the chaos. It calls us to prioritize our spiritual lives over our worldly concerns. Each stage of life presents its challenges, but neglecting our relationship with God can lead to dire consequences. Let’s make a conscious effort to include God in every aspect of our daily experiences.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to set our minds and hearts on You above all else. In moments of distraction and busyness, remind us of Your presence and the importance of staying connected to You. Assist us in recognizing the ways we may be too young, too busy, or too tired to seek You, and grant us the discipline to prioritize our relationship with You. May we never find it too late to turn back and strengthen our bond with You. Thank You for Your unwavering love and grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
