David didn’t need to know Goliath’s strength because he already knew God’s.
In moments of uncertainty and fear, we often measure our challenges against our strengths and abilities. However, like David, we are called to trust not in our understanding but in the greatness of our God. David faced Goliath not by considering the giant’s physical prowess but by relying on the faith he had in the Lord. This assures us that our battles are won not by our might but by God’s mighty hand.
When we encounter our “Goliaths,” may we remember that our faith equips us to stand strong. We need not fear because God is with us, and His strength surpasses any obstacle we may face.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that my strength does not rely on my abilities but on Your power. Help me to trust in You when I face challenges that seem insurmountable. May I always draw on the knowledge of Your greatness and love. Shine Your light through my fears, and help me to stand firm in faith, just like David. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
