Evangelist Nick Hall has had a front-row seat to some of the most compelling spiritual moments of the past few months, and now he’s gearing up for what might be the “most significant university outreach” in American history.
Hall spoke with CBN’s Faithwire Thursday to preview “Fill the Stadium,” a student-led, evangelistic event set to take place April 29 at Oklahoma University’s football stadium. Tens of thousands of students will hear from Hall, Chance The Rapper, Kari Jobe, Chandler Moore, and others — and CBN News will be on the scene to cover the gathering.
With tickets quickly evaporating, “Fill the Stadium” is set to become the largest-ever university outreach, as CBN News previously reported. It’s the latest in monumental spiritual gathers and outpourings to unfold involving college students across America. And Hall said plans for the event were set well before the Asbury University that made international headlines in February.
“Students reached out to us last fall and this is a student-led effort,” he said. “What that means is — God gave a few seniors a vision and a burden that literally people have prayed for and dreamed about for decades here in Oklahoma, and I think this is true of universities across America, but they’ve said it’s time to fill the stadium.”
It’s the first time an event like this has been held at a university stadium, with Hall and his Pulse organization coming alongside students to help organize the effort.
“The wild thing is there’s never been an event at this stadium that’s been student-led or faith-based,” he said. “And the university said no 50 times. And, on February 8th, the day the revival broke out at Asbury, [that’s] the day the university said, ‘Yes.'” Hall said the significance of the timeline isn’t lost on the students. Watch him explain.
