Holding a grudge doesn’t make you strong; it makes you bitter. Forgiving doesn’t make you weak; it sets you free. In life, we all encounter situations where we feel wronged or hurt by others. It’s natural to want to hold onto those feelings, believing it somehow gives us strength or a sense of control. However, in reality, this attitude only chains us to past grievances, fostering bitterness that can corrode our spirit. True strength lies in forgiveness. When we choose to forgive, we release the burden of anger and resentment. This act sets us free, opening our hearts to peace and healing.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of forgiveness. Help us to let go of grudges and bitterness that weigh us down. Grant us the strength to forgive those who have wronged us, just as You have forgiven us. Fill our hearts with peace and joy as we release our pain to You. May we find freedom in our willingness to let go, and may we always strive to reflect Your love in our lives. Amen.
