Friends, I’m going to address an honest truth: christianity & the Bible aren’t an aesthetic or trend.
–
If we share about His Word or pictures of it, our goal should not be to drag others down in comparison or gain worldly popularity because of how pretty our Bible looks. It should be to encourage others to seek God and to dive into scripture themselves, which doesn’t look the same for everyone! Which is totally okay.
–
The appearance of our Bibles, inside or out, should never become a priority over the God-breathed words inside. The Bible is already beautiful on its own; we should pray to not idolize notes or journaling.
–
And it’s also perfectly okay if you don’t write or doodle in your Bible at all! As long as scripture is being written on our hearts and we are understanding the verses in context, notes or no notes, drawings or no drawings, brightly colored pens or a single black pen, none of it matters.
–
The Lord doesn’t care how beautiful you make your Bible; He cares about how beautiful your heart is. 🤍

“For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 🏔
–
“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the Lord sees, for humans see what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.”” 1 Samuel 16:7 🌿
