“He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” Psalm‬ ‭147:4‬ 💫

this is one of my FAVORITE verses in the whole Bible. why?

the verse says God decided how many stars to create & knows each one’s name. there are millions upon millions of stars in the universe! and He created each one & knows each one so well. this same God wants a relationship with each of us, knows us better than we know ourselves & has a plan for our lives. that’s so incredible!! ✨

the verse before (“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm‬ ‭147:3‬) and the verse after (“Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.”‭‭ Psalm 147:5‬) further elaborate on God’s power & goodness.

it’s so comforting & inspiring to know that you & I are loved by the One who created the stars & knows each of them intimately. 💛
