In a world filled with uncertainty and impermanence, it can be easy to feel out of place. Hebrews 13:14 reminds us that “this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.” This scripture invites us to shift our focus from our current circumstances to the promise of a heavenly dwelling prepared for us by God. It encourages us to remain hopeful and steadfast, understanding that our true home lies beyond this life. Each day, we are reminded to live with purpose and to cultivate a spirit of gratitude as we journey towards that eternal city.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of a home with You that transcends this earthly existence. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on that glorious future and not be consumed by the trials of this world. Grant me strength to persevere, faith to trust in Your plans, and the assurance that I am a citizen of heaven. May I find peace in the knowledge that I am just passing through. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
