In our fast-paced world, waiting can often feel like an unbearable burden. Yet, patience is a virtue that is deeply rooted in faith. When we wait on the Lord, we are not merely sitting idly; we are engaging in a powerful act of trust. God’s plan for our lives unfolds in His perfect timing, and often, the journey involves moments of waiting where we are invited to cultivate patience.
The prayer reminds us to be conscious of our tendency to rush ahead of God’s plans. It calls us to seek patience, to wait for His guidance, and to trust wholeheartedly in His timing. The light of His will illuminates our path, but we must be attentive, allowing Him to guide us step by step.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be patient when I am waiting on your will for my life. Help me not to get ahead of the light you have shone before me. Let me trust your timing completely. May I find peace in the waiting and strength in my faith. Fill my heart with the assurance that your timing is perfect. Amen.
