I cannot believe it’s already been one year since we said “I do.” 💍

This past year has been the absolute best in so many ways, but with such a big change in our lives, there’s bound to be lessons learned and adjustments that have to be made. Some of these, you likely have read somewhere or heard from someone else, but I didn’t truly understand until I learned through my own experiences and our own marriage.

Lessons I learned in our first year of marriage: swipe through the images to read! 🌿

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not the wisest person when it comes to marriage or life in general (I’m only 20 and have been married one year), your marriage can differ from mine & that’s great, and there’s probably more things that I didn’t put on this list that shaped our first year of marriage as well. Also, I’m so far from the perfect wife or person. I will always be learning how to be a better wife, daughter, sister & friend and am still improving on many of the points I listed above.

The most important things I have found are to remember to be grateful for your spouse & acknowledge them in ways that they feel loved & keep the Lord in the center, as the cornerstone of your marriage. Anthony and I have called our relationship a “God thing” because without so many little things falling into place, we wouldn’t have even started dating, let alone gotten married.

Marriage is a gift from God + I’m so grateful, today and everyday. 🤍
