“I never want to be the kind of Christian who portrays themselves as perfect. I have flaws and I have struggles; that’s why I NEED JESUS.”
In our journey of faith, it’s easy to wear a mask. Society often pressures us to appear strong and flawless, yet the truth is that vulnerability is a part of our humanity. Each of us has imperfections and battles that we face daily. Embracing our flaws is not a sign of weakness, but rather an acknowledgment of our need for grace and help from Christ. When we admit that we are not perfect, we open the door for Jesus to work in our lives, offering healing and strength.
Jesus came for the broken, the lost, and the weary. He doesn’t call the perfect; He calls those who recognize their need for Him. In our moments of struggle, may we remember that it’s okay not to have it all together. Our imperfections are places where God’s grace shines the brightest.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for accepting me as I am. Help me to embrace my flaws and struggles while recognizing my need for You every day. Teach me to be real and authentic, so that Your light can shine through my weaknesses. May I find comfort in knowing that I don’t have to be perfect; I just need to rely on Your grace. Strengthen me in my struggles and remind me that in my imperfections, I can still reflect Your love. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
