Montell Jordan recently shared an inspiring testimony after announcing that he is now cancer-free following a difficult battle with prostate cancer. The Grammy-nominated artist, best known for his hit song “This Is How We Do It,” revealed that doctors informed him his cancer was undetectable after months of treatments, surgery, and lifestyle changes. Jordan called the news the “greatest Christmas gift” he could have received and openly gave credit to God for carrying him through the battle. Throughout his journey, he consistently spoke about the power of prayer, faith, and trusting Jesus even during the darkest moments.
Jordan said his faith became the foundation that helped him endure the emotional and physical toll of cancer. Alongside medical treatment, he leaned heavily on prayer, Scripture, and support from his wife and family, often encouraging others not to lose hope in difficult circumstances. The singer-turned-pastor has also used his testimony to encourage men—especially Black men—to prioritize early cancer screenings and take their health seriously. Now cancer-free, Jordan continues to publicly declare that God’s grace and faithfulness sustained him through the fight, using his story as a testimony of healing, perseverance, and hope.
