Dear Lord,
make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

In our daily lives, we are often faced with situations that challenge our peace. We encounter hatred, injury, doubt, despair, darkness, and sadness. These challenges can be overwhelming, but as believers, we have the power to rise above them. The prayer reminds us of our calling to be instruments of peace in a troubled world. Each line serves as a guiding principle, encouraging us to respond with love, forgiveness, faith, hope, light, and joy.

Dear Lord,
Help me to embody your peace in all that I do.

Shine your light through me to dispel the darkness in my life and the lives of others.
Let my joy be a source of encouragement to those who are sad.
