Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, grateful for the gift of Your Word. Often, life’s distractions pull us away from the precious gift of reading scripture, leaving us feeling disconnected from You. We apologize for the times we have allowed the busyness of life to close our Bibles and close ourselves off from Your presence. Teach us Lord to cherish Your Word and to seek it daily. Help us understand that within those pages lies the truth of Your character, the depth of Your love, and the wisdom we so desperately need.
As we approach Your Scriptures, may we do so with open hearts and a genuine desire to know You more deeply. Speak to us through the verses we read, and let them settle in our hearts as reminders of Your faithfulness and promises. Help us to see Your hand at work in our lives as we meditate on Your Word and apply its teachings in our daily walk. According to Psalm 119:105, may Your Word be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.
Lord, during the quiet moments when we feel overwhelmed or uncertain, remind us that You are always there.
