Message:
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus declares, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” This profound statement serves as the foundation of our faith and the mission He entrusts to us. The authority that Christ possesses is not limited; it encompasses every realm of existence. With this authority, He commissions His followers to go forth, making disciples of all nations. The command to baptize and teach emphasizes the importance of sharing the gospel and nurturing the faith of new believers. Jesus reassures us that He is with us always, providing comfort and guidance as we carry out His mission.
Reflecting on this, we understand that we are called to be active participants in God’s kingdom. Each of us is offered the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, rooted in the authority of Christ. This is a powerful reminder that our purpose extends beyond ourselves; we are to share the love and grace we have received. The assurance of His presence gives us confidence as we step into the world, knowing that we do not serve in our own strength but under the mighty authority of Jesus.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging the authority that has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth. Thank You for the tremendous sacrifice He made, which grants us access to Your presence and empowers us to fulfill the Great Commission. Lord, we recognize that with this authority also comes responsibility. Help us, as Your disciples, to courageously share the message of hope and salvation to those around us. May our lives reflect Your love and grace, drawing others closer to You.
Guide us in our interactions with those we meet each day. Grant us the wisdom to speak the truth in love and the boldness to stand firm in our faith. In moments of doubt or fear, remind us that You are always with us, supporting and strengthening our efforts. When we feel overwhelmed by the task ahead, help us to lean on the assurance that Jesus is our anchor, guiding us through every challenge.
Lord, ignite a passion within us to pursue the Great Commission fervently. We pray for open doors and receptive hearts as we strive to make disciples of all nations. Empower us to baptize and teach, demonstrating the teachings of Christ to everyone we encounter.
