“I don’t trust my job or bank account to look after me, I trust the Lord.”
In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to put our faith in tangible sources of security like jobs or finances. However, the real source of our confidence should be in the Lord. Trusting Him means letting go of our worries about tomorrow and relying on His provision and care. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:25-26, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life… Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
When we shift our trust from temporary things to our eternal God, we find peace and reassurance. He is our provider, our protector, and our guide. Let us choose faith over fear, knowing that the Lord will take care of our needs.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my ultimate source of security and strength. Help me to release my worries about finances and my job. Teach me to trust in Your unfailing love and provision. May I always remember that I am more valuable to You than anything else in creation. Guide me in how to lean on You more fully in every aspect of my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
