“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
In times of trouble and uncertainty, it’s natural to seek help from various sources. However, as believers, we are reminded that our true help and strength come from the Lord. This Psalm highlights the importance of looking up to God, our Creator, who is all-powerful and ever-present. In our moments of need, we can find assurance that the Lord is the source of our support and guidance. He is not only the maker of heaven and earth but also the one who cares for us deeply.
Let us remember to lift our eyes to Him, trusting that He is in control and ready to help us through whatever challenges we face.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my refuge and strength. I lift my eyes to You, knowing that my help comes from You alone. In moments of doubt and fear, remind me of Your power and presence in my life. I trust in Your guidance and lean on Your understanding. Help me to seek You first in all things and to acknowledge that You are my ever-present help. Fill my heart with peace and assurance, knowing that You are with me always. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
