pray for God’s calling – respond wholeheartedly, “Here am I; send me.”
Message:
In Isaiah 6:8, we witness a profound moment of divine calling. The Lord asks, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” Isaiah responds with a willing heart, saying, “Here am I; send me.” This passage invites us to reflect on our own willingness to answer God’s call in our lives. Are we open to being instruments of His purpose? When God calls, it may not always be in grand circumstances, yet every call is significant in His kingdom. Embracing a spirit of readiness, like Isaiah, allows us to become active participants in the work of the Lord, serving others and spreading His love. Let us ponder on the ways we can respond to God’s invitation for service, knowing that He equips us for the tasks He sets before us.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as I come before You with a humble heart, I want to thank You for Your unfailing love and grace. Your calling is clear, and I feel your gentle nudge urging me to step out in faith. Lord, help me to listen intently to Your voice amidst the noise of the world. Like Isaiah, I desire to be bold and respond wholeheartedly, “Here am I; send me.” Show me my purpose and the ways I can serve You and others around me. Guide my steps and grant me the courage to embrace the challenges ahead with unwavering faith. I know that You do not call the equipped but rather equip those You have called. Strengthen me with the knowledge that I do not walk this path alone, for You are with me every step of the way. Fill me with Your Spirit, empowering me to carry out the work You set before me. Help me to see the needs of those around me and respond with compassion and love. Let my actions reflect the heart of Christ, bringing hope, healing, and comfort to the hurting. May my life be a testament to Your faithfulness and a light that shines in the darkest places. Teach me to be proactive in sharing Your message of salvation and grace with those who are lost. I surrender my plans and desires to You, trusting that Your will is far greater than my own. Thank You for calling me into Your service. Lord, prepare me, shape me, and let me be a vessel of Your love in this world. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
