We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. This profound verse from Proverbs 16:9 reminds us of the sovereignty of God in our lives. Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as I come before You today, I lay my plans at Your feet. I acknowledge that in my pursuit of goals and dreams, I often forget that You are the one who ultimately charts my course. Help me to relinquish my desire for control and to trust in Your divine guidance. Lord, when I find myself frustrated or bewildered by unexpected changes, remind me of the truth found in Proverbs 16:9. Instill in me a steadfast faith that leans on Your understanding rather than my own. May I recognize that every seemingly closed door might be a redirection to something greater that You have in store for me.
God, grant me patience as I navigate life’s uncertainties. Teach me to see the lessons hidden within the detours. When it feels like my plans are unraveling, give me the wisdom to discern where You might be leading me. Surround me with Your peace during moments of doubt and confusion. Help me to embrace the unknown with a joyful heart, knowing that each step I take is purposeful under Your watchful gaze.
I pray for clarity in my decisions and a receptive spirit to recognize Your gentle whisper guiding me along the path of righteousness.
