pray for God’s presence – calling upon Him is our first response in distress

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart filled with gratitude for Your endless mercy and compassion. In moments of distress, I often feel overwhelmed by the weight of my circumstances. Yet, Your Word reassures me that I am never alone in these trials. Jonah’s plea reminds me that calling upon You is not just a last resort but a first response, a step toward finding peace amidst chaos. Lord, I seek Your presence and guidance in my life. Help me to cultivate a trust so deep that I can turn to You easily in every situation, be it in moments of joy or despair. Teach me, Father, to surrender my fears and worries into Your capable hands, knowing that You listen and You care. Allow me to experience the comfort that comes from Your response to my prayers. When I feel lost or confused, grant me clarity through Your wisdom. May I turn my heart towards You and seek Your will above all else.
