We have sought solace in alcohol, found fleeting moments of comfort in drugs, and sought approval from others, all in an attempt to fill a void that only You can fill.
Lord, we ask for your forgiveness for the times we have turned away from You in our struggles. Help us to be reminded that You are always there, ready to receive us with love and understanding. Teach us to run to You instead of the things that lead us astray. Your promise of healing is so powerful, and we want to embrace it fully.
We ask You to heal the wounds in our hearts, to deliver us from the chains of addiction, and to break the patterns of unhealthy relationships. Surround us with Your peace, and let Your love be our guiding light. We long to experience the fullness of life that comes from being rooted in You. Lord, strengthen our resolve to come to You first, before anything else.
