Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart that yearns for healing and peace. In moments of pain and betrayal, I have found it difficult to forgive those who have caused me distress. Yet, I understand that holding onto anger only deepens my wounds. Lord, I ask for Your strength to release all bitterness and resentment from my heart. Help me to see those who have hurt me through Your eyes, graced with love and compassion. I pray that You soften my heart and ignite within me the desire to forgive freely, just as You have forgiven me. Teach me to relinquish my need for revenge and to trust that You will be my defender.
