Heavenly Father, as I come before You today, I recognize the challenges that surround me. It is easy to love those who are kind and supportive, but You call me to extend that love beyond my comfort zone. There are times when anger, resentment, or hurt clouds my ability to see the goodness in those who have wronged me. I confess that on my own, I struggle to respond with grace and compassion. I urgently need Your strength to rise above the natural inclinations of my heart. Teach me, Lord, to see others through Your eyes, to recognize the brokenness that lives within each of us.
Please grant me the courage to face my enemies not with hostility, but with a love that reflects Your own. Show me how to engage with them in ways that demonstrate kindness, even when it is difficult. Help me to transform my desire for retribution into a longing for understanding and reconciliation. Let my actions become a testament of Your love and grace, shining a light in places where darkness often prevails.
