In the tender exchange between the child and Jesus, we see a profound truth about love and devotion. The child presents their heart, saying, “It’s all I have,” while Jesus responds with deep yearning, “It’s all I want.” This simple illustration illustrates the core of our relationship with God. Often, we think we must offer grand gestures or substantial sacrifices to gain His favor. Yet, what He desires more than anything is our heart—the entirety of who we are. This moment captures the essence of surrender. When we offer our love and vulnerability to Him, we allow Him to fill us with grace, peace, and purpose. It beckons us to consider what it means to give our whole selves to God. Can we muster the courage to present our hearts to Him, trusting that He will accept us fully?

Dear Heavenly Father, as I come before You today, I am reminded of the immense power of love and surrender. With a heart that longs to be intertwined with Yours, I offer myself wholly to You. I realize that You desire not merely my actions but the very depths of my being. In this moment, I lay my heart before You, acknowledging that it is all I have to give. I humbly pray that You will take my love, my fears, my joys, and my struggles. Accept me as I am, knowing that I am a product of Your creation, yet yearning to grow in faith and love.
Lord, with every beat of my heart, inspire in me a desire to deepen my relationship with You. May I recognize that my efforts, no matter how small, are precious in Your sight.
