“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” — Proverbs 16:9
Life is filled with plans, hopes, and ambitions. Every day, we embark on journeys, outlining our goals and dreams. However, this verse reminds us of a fundamental truth: while we can make our plans, it is ultimately God who guides our path. His wisdom surpasses our understanding, and His timing is always perfect. When our plans seem uncertain or when unexpected changes occur, we can take comfort in knowing that God is in control. He directs our steps, ensuring that even the detours in our lives serve a greater purpose in His divine plan.
Trusting in God’s direction allows us to surrender our worries and fears. It invites peace into our hearts, knowing that He is orchestrating the events of our lives for our good and His glory. Let us remember that sometimes His guidance may lead us in a direction we did not expect, but it is always for our benefit and growth.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the steadfast guide in our lives. Help us to trust in Your perfect plan even when we cannot see the way ahead. Teach us to surrender our desires and to be open to Your direction. May we find comfort in knowing that You are paving our path. Grant us the wisdom to discern Your voice and the courage to follow it. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
