Psalms 34:18

Message:

In our moments of despair, it’s easy to feel isolated and abandoned. Yet, Psalm 34:18 reminds us of a profound truth: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” This scripture reassures us that God is intimately aware of our pain and is not distant from our suffering. He draws near to those who are hurting, offering comfort and healing. In times of distress, we are encouraged to reach out to Him, trusting that He not only sees our tears but also is capable of transforming our sorrow into joy.

When we face struggles that leave us feeling crushed, remember that God’s presence can mend what is broken. He has the power to restore hope where despair has taken root. Let us lean into His strength, knowing that we are never truly alone. God invites us to bring our burdens to Him, to share our hearts in honesty, and to rest in the knowledge that He cares deeply for us.

Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Thank You for being a source of comfort in our pain and for drawing near to us in our times of distress. We come before You with our heavy hearts, asking for Your healing touch. Help us to trust in Your promise to rescue us when we feel broken. May we find peace in Your presence and strength in Your love.

We pray for all those who are feeling crushed in spirit. Surround them with Your grace and comfort, and remind them that You are always near. Help us to be instruments of Your peace and hope in the lives of others who are hurting.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
