Rachel Ruto, First Lady of Kenya, joined a gathering of international first spouses at the White House, hosted by Melania Trump. The summit focused on empowering children, strengthening families, and advancing economic opportunities for women across the globe.
Rachel gave a clear testimony: “When I was 13 years old… I gave my life to Jesus Christ. That is the best decision I ever made… knowing Jesus is what has propelled me to where I am today.” She then shared a promise she made to God as a young girl to help uplift women, saying, “I made a prayer to God in my heart… that I’d like to come back and do something… that would empower them economically, so that every woman can have shoes; every woman can take care of their children.”
