A 30-year-old man from Sudan has been charged with attempted murder over a stabbing attack that left a man seriously injured and triggered anti-immigrant violence in Northern Ireland.
The attack, caught in video footage that quickly spread on social media, shows Stephen Ogilvie, a man in his 40s, being stabbed. He was hospitalized with deep cuts to his head, face and back.
It led to a night of violence in which masked men set fire to several vehicles and homes. The outrage comes after a Sikh was convicted last week of murdering a university student by stabbing him to death in Southampton, England…
