The U.S. Supreme Court has delivered a victory for parents who need to be told if their children are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. The justices blocked a California policy that discourages state educators from telling parents about their children’s struggles.
The high court declared, “The State argues that its policies advance a compelling interest in student safety and privacy. But those policies cut out the primary protectors of children’s best interests: their parents.”
