The reminder from Exodus 14:14 offers profound comfort: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” This powerful message reassures us that we are not alone in our fights. While we might feel the urge to take control and strive for victory through our efforts, this scripture invites us to pause and trust in the Lord’s strength. Being still does not signify inaction; rather, it encourages us to surrender our worries and fears to God. In that stillness, we find clarity, peace, and the assurance that He is actively working on our behalf.
Trusting God during difficult times can be challenging. We may be tempted to question His presence or timing, especially when the outcome seems uncertain. Yet, this verse calls us back to a place of faith, where we can rest in the knowledge that the Almighty is orchestrating our circumstances according to His perfect will.
