The seven "I AM" statement of Jesus

Message:
In the Gospel of John, Jesus makes seven profound “I AM” statements that reveal His divine identity and His fundamental role in our lives. These statements offer a comprehensive look at who Jesus is and how He sustains us:

1. “I am the true vine” (John 15:1-5) – Jesus depicts Himself as the source of spiritual nourishment, encouraging us to abide in Him for growth and fruitfulness.

2. “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35-48) – He emphasizes that through Him, we obtain spiritual sustenance that nourishes our soul eternally.

3. “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) – In this declaration, Jesus shows that He is the only path to God, embodying truth and life itself.

4. “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12; 9:5) – He brings illumination to our darkness, guiding us toward hope and understanding.

5. “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25) – Jesus assures us of victory over death and the promise of eternal life.

6. “I am the good shepherd” (John 10:11-14) – He portrays His loving care and protection as He leads us in our journey of faith.

7. “I am the gate” (John 10:7) – By entering through Him, we find safety and abundance, illustrating the security of our relationship with Him.

These statements remind us that Jesus is central to our faith and existence, providing everything we need for our spiritual journey.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and for the truth revealed in His “I AM” statements. Help me to abide in Him as the true vine, to seek sustenance from Him as the bread of life, and to walk in His light each day. I am grateful that Jesus is my way, truth, and life, guiding me through the challenges I face.

Lord, I pray that I may fully embrace the promise of resurrection and life that Your Son offers. May I find comfort in knowing that He is my good shepherd, caring for me, and leading me towards paths of righteousness. As I approach the gate of salvation, help me to share this hope with those around me.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Jesus is love
