topic #1 – insecurity
–
we all have battled this at one point or another. it’s a pretty rough battle. often, leading to comparison or jealousy.
–
girl, I’ve been there with you. I’ve looked at a picture of myself or looked in the mirror and hated the reflection meeting my gaze. I pointed out every single little flaw in my mind. that zit on my cheek. how my smile is slightly crooked. how my lips aren’t perfectly shaped. how big nose is. how short my legs are. the list was endless.
–
I would see pictures of random girls on social media or classmates and wonder why I didn’t look as perfect or pretty as them.
–
in all honesty, our inner beauty matters much more than our outer beauty anyway. do you have a beautiful heart or only beautiful clothes and makeup?
–
thankfully, I’m loved just as I am. and so are you.
–
we are A L L flawed. and that’s okay. we cannot ever be perfect. and that’s okay, too. because Jesus is. and He loves you.
–
like I’m sure some of you are, insecurity is something I’m still working through, with God’s help. some days, Satan’s lies are being shouted loud. but God’s promises are louder. reminding myself of who defines me & where my identity is found really helps me find peace.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand — when I awake, I am still with you.” Psalms 139:13-18 💗
