The U.S. has responded quickly to Iranian threats to choke off oil supplies going through the Strait of Hormuz. The Pentagon says U.S. forces destroyed 16 mine-laying ships on Tuesday, in the area where 20 percent of the world’s oil supply transits. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the intensity of U.S. strikes will continue to grow even as Iranian attacks are falling off.
