“If God seems far away, guess who moved?”
This poignant reminder serves to reflect on our relationship with God. Often, we may feel distant from Him, questioning His presence in our lives. However, it’s crucial to remember that God is always constant; it is we who may drift away due to distractions, busyness, or sin. This call to self-examination encourages us to draw near to Him. James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
When we feel disconnected, it’s an opportunity to reconnect, to realign our priorities, and to seek God’s face with renewed fervor. Instead of blaming God for our feelings of distance, we can take steps to return to Him wholeheartedly.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unwavering presence in our lives. Forgive us when we allow distractions to pull us away from You. Help us to recognize when we are drifting and give us the strength to return to Your embrace. May we seek You in prayer, in the Word, and in worship every day. Draw us closer to You, Lord, and ignite in us a passion to stay consistently in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
