50 Hours of Prayer in Jerusalem for the United States

A group of American Christian leaders recently gathered in Jerusalem for an extended time of worship and intercession, praying continuously for the United States in what organizers describe as a symbolic act of national humility before God.

According to reporting by CBN News, leaders from David’s Tent traveled from Washington, D.C., to the Holy City to conduct 50 hours of nonstop prayer, one hour dedicated to each U.S. state.

Jason Hershey, founder of David’s Tent, explained that participants viewed the gathering as an offering of worship and intercession, bringing prayers first lifted in the U.S. Capitol region to Jerusalem. Organizers connected the event spiritually to biblical passages such as Isaiah 56 and Zechariah 8, which speak of nations seeking God through prayer.

The gathering was not a governmental event but a faith-based initiative led by private ministry leaders seeking renewal, unity, and spiritual awakening for their nation. Participants emphasized repentance, worship, and prayer for leaders and communities across America.

For many believers involved, the moment reflected a growing global emphasis on prayer movements that unite Christians across nations, reminding the church that transformation often begins not through power or politics, but through prayer.
