As teams surprise him with cars, a beloved school volleyball referee sobs with joy.

Lemuel Buster, a dedicated 76-year-old volleyball referee in Georgia’s Paulding County, rented a car after his own broke down to ensure he could continue officiating games. Unbeknownst to him, students and parents observed his commitment and organized a secret fundraising effort to buy him a new car.

The community, inspired by Buster’s devotion to the students, united behind the initiative. They surprised him with $1,000 in cash, a $25 Walmart gift card, McDonald’s meals, and a Chrysler Sebring convertible.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Buster teared up as he received the unexpected gift and expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone who came together to support him.
