At 14 years old, a high school student collapsed after suffering a grand mal seizure. Doctors discovered a golf ball–sized brain tumor embedded deep in his left frontal lobe. Because of its location, they said surgery was not an option and told him he would live with epilepsy and bipolar disorder for the rest of his life.
For 15 years, he says he accepted the diagnosis. Later, while attending classes at Charis Bible College, he began studying biblical teachings on healing and God’s love.
During a healing service, he says he prayed and told God he no longer wanted the tumor to define his identity. At that moment, he recalls a minister announcing that someone had been healed of a brain tumor. He says he felt a “crack” sensation in his head and believed the healing was his.
Months later he asked doctors for proof. A CT scan, he says, showed no trace of the tumor and the physician was shocked.
