Browns Players Launch “Cleveland for Christ” Gathering

Several Cleveland Browns players gathered this week for the team’s first-ever “Cleveland for Christ” event, coming together for prayer, worship, and encouragement.

Photos and videos from the gathering show players wearing matching “Cleveland for Christ” shirts as they prayed outdoors, lifted their hands in worship, and listened to messages centered on faith in Jesus.

The event appears to have been organized by players who wanted to create a space where teammates and others could openly pursue Christ and encourage one another spiritually.

At a time when faith is often kept private, many online praised the athletes for boldly sharing their beliefs and using their platform to point people to God.

Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20.

Do you think we’ll see more NFL players publicly sharing their faith in the years ahead? ✝️
