Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, is continuing to face weekly harassment from agitators outside its building as worshipers arrive for Sunday services.
Lead Pastor Jonathan Parnell said the group has been coming every Sunday since January 18, targeting families, children, and worshipers on their way into church.
“They want to shut us down,” Parnell said. “But here’s the thing, they picked the wrong church.”
Parnell said the church is disappointed and weary, but remains grounded in hope and determined to continue its mission.
“We’re not leaving,” he said. “We’re going to keep worshiping Jesus. We’re going to keep spreading the Gospel.”
He also pointed back to the heart of the Christian message: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
