“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:12‬ 👧🏼

in so many areas of our lives, we are looked down on when we are young & often for pretty good reasons. we can be naive, inexperienced or reckless, depending on the person, in different situations. but should faith be the same?

according to 1 Timothy 4:12, no. even from what I’ve seen through people at church & on social media, it’s not a matter of how old you are whether you are stronger in your faith & live it out. we should all be striving to live like Jesus, no matter how old or young we are! wisdom & guidance are just those, no matter who is giving them to us!

don’t get me wrong, I am so far from good at doing this perfectly. I mess up daily. sometimes I say the wrong things and don’t always set the best example.

however, I’m so blessed to have so many amazing role models who are younger and older than me, but most importantly Jesus & the Bible guiding me, first & foremost.

age doesn’t matter when it comes to setting an example & trying to live & love like Jesus. we are all children of God and brothers & sisters in Christ 💙
