From Back Row to Campus Revival

AbrahamAguilar was just another high school senior at Palmdale High—caught up in rebellion, drugs, and a life that was going nowhere fast.

He didn’t come from a perfect home. In fact, it was the kind of environment that usually produces more brokenness, not breakthrough.

The only reason he ever stepped foot in church?
His mom made it clear: “If you’re living in this house, you’re going to church.”

So he went… but not willingly.

He sat in the back—what he now calls “backslider lane”—checked out, hardened, and resistant.

But week after week, something started happening.

The Word kept hitting.
The preaching kept piercing.
And slowly… the walls started coming down.

Then came a men’s discipleship seminar.

In that moment, he felt it clearly—God pressing on his heart:
“It’s either now… or never.”

And he made a decision that changed everything.

He surrendered.

Not halfway. Not casually.
Fully.

And when he did, God didn’t just clean him up—He lit him on fire.

That same year, Abraham went back to school… but not the same person.

He started sharing Jesus—boldly.
Classmates. Teachers. Janitors. Anyone who would listen.

What began as a small Bible study turned into something no one could explain.

By the end of his senior year…

895 students gave their lives to Christ.

Let that sink in.

One surrendered life.
One obedient “yes.”
One student who refused to stay silent.

From backslidden and bound…
To bold and on mission.

That’s what God can do.

That’s the power of grace.
